Grocery Prices Unlikely To Fall Soon Despite Cheaper Gas

Experts: Gas Must Stay Cheap For Effect To Trickle Down

Gasoline prices have plummeted to $1.99 at some stations but analysts said that grocery store prices aren’t likely to follow quickly.

When gas prices started rising, the trickle-down effect quickly spread to grocery stores and restaurants.

Experts said that if gas prices continue to stay at or below the $2 mark, consumers could see some relief at the grocery store.

However, many people told WISN that they aren’t banking on the low gas prices sticking around long.
