MILWAUKEE -- Testimony continued Wednesday in the Garrett Huff trial.

Prosecutors continued to present the audiotapes recorded by undercover police officers who said Huff drove them to City Hall to vote absentee, then paid each of them $5 for their vote.

The officers testified that they met Huff at Mother's Foods at 16th and Locust streets.

Jack Kheirieh, the owner of Mother's, is going testify Wednesday afternoon. He appears to be the only witness for the defense, 12 News reporter Colleen Henry said.

Kheirieh cooperated with federal prosecutors in their investigation of Huff's nephew, Milwaukee Alderman Michael McGee Jr.

Huff's attorney has argued that investigators entrapped Huff in their zeal to get McGee; that Huff is charged with inducing electors to vote, but since the undercover officers were not eligible to vote in the 6th District, they were not technically electors and therefore, there was no crime.

The case could wrap up on Thursday.
