JOHNSON CREEK, Wis. -- Police in Jefferson County said the shooting death of an 11-year-old boy Thursday afternoon was an accident.Joshua Nimm was found dead in his Johnson Creek home Thursday.He appears to have been killed with his own .22 caliber rifle.
There was no magazine in the gun, according to investigators. They believe a round was still in the chamber from the last time the weapon was used and the boy accidentally shot himself.
