MILWAUKEE -- Former Milwaukee Alderman Michael McGee Jr. is scheduled to be in court on Friday.

He is expected to plead guilty to one felony and one misdemeanor in his state case.

State prosecutors originally charged McGee with seven felonies and five misdemeanors, accusing him of election bribery and conspiring to have a man beaten.

The plea deal could reduce his state time behind bars to just over four years.

A federal jury this summer convicted McGee of bribery and extortion.

He was sentenced to six and a half years in federal prison.
