Tuesday's Child Encourages Volunteerism
Tuesday's Child began in 1988 as a method to encourage community members to volunteer their time with area children.Each week WISN 12 News anchor Kathy Mykleby spotlights a child in the community who would benefit from time spent with an adult volunteer."We focus on a child with the program to show adults the need to volunteer a couple of hours a week," she said.
Tuesday's Child works with five area Big Brother/Big Sister agencies in southeastern Wisconsin to help distribute volunteers and their time. These agencies are located in the following counties:
