SOMERS, Wis. -- A Kenosha County woman is dead after investigators say she tried to save her pets from a fire.
Kenosha County Woman Dies In Fire After Trying To Save FerretsThe Kenosha Sheriff's office says the fire started inside an apartment near Green Bay Road and 16th Place in Somers this morning.
The 30-year-old woman made it out safely, but went back in to rescue her two pet ferrets, according to the report.The woman and both animals died.There is no information on how the fire started but the case has been turned over to the state fire marshal for investigation.
