Moving Firewood Out Of Wisconsin Counties Considered Criminal

As the nine-day deer season approaches, the state is urging hunters to leave the firewood at home.Because of the emerald ash borer there is currently a four-county quarantine for Ozaukee, Washington, Fond du Lac and Sheboygan counties.Moving firewood out of those counties is considered a criminal offense. Only firewood out of those counties is considered a criminal offense.
Agriculture can be moved from the quarantine area. The gun deer season begins Saturday.
