MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker used his veto powers Monday to cut parts of the county budget.Walker trimmed nearly $9 million in spending. He also pared down next year’s property tax levy by $1.3 million.Walker restored privatization proposals for county jobs that the board had stripped.
There were 30 vetoes in all. The board has a chance to override them when they meet on Wednesday.
