Brendan Lowd, Marquette University
My name is Brendan Lowd, and I am a junior at Marquette University.I am 20 years old, and I grew up in Hanover, Mass. (small town about 20 miles south of Boston).I am a double major at Marquette, studying broadcast and electronic communication major as well as political science.
I have always taken my studies very seriously. Academics have always interested me, and I try to devote as much time as possible to my classes.Besides classes, I am the news director at Marquette Radio. My responsibilities to the radio station take up another good chunk of my time.Besides the college life, I love spending time with my family and friends. I am very close to my family and miss them dearly while I am away at college.I love anything related to sports, especially my Boston sports teams (Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins).I have a few dream jobs. I have enjoyed working at a college radio station over the past few years. Later on in life, I would love to host a sports talk radio show in Boston. Besides radio aspirations, I also have had serious thoughts about attending law school. If my first two dream jobs don’t work out, I guess I’ll settle for the president of the United States.
