Sarah Panko, Marquette University

My name is Sarah Panko, and I am a senior at Marquette University.

I am currently pursuing a broadcast and electronic communications degree with a double major in advertising and a minor in marketing.

I am 22 years old, and I am originally from Coral Springs, Fla., but I call Algonquin, Ill., my home town.

I have been a news assistant director for MUTV for a year a half and then got the chance to work part time as an assignment desk editor at WISN 12.

Over the summer, I had the amazing opportunity to go to the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis as a student reporter for WISN.com.

Outside of MUTV, I am a member of the AAJA (Asian American Journalists Association) and the Milwaukee Press Club.

My dream job would be to work at Chicago's ABC news station, WLS-TV, and anchor the 5 and 10 p.m. newscast along side Linda Yu and Sylvia Perez.
