My name is Dan Barutha, and I am a 20-year-old junior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, majoring in broadcast journalism and minoring in English.Since joining UWM, I have been heavily involved with multiple student organizations, including the UWM club baseball team, the Sports Business Association and the Broadcast Club.Currently, I am a television play-by-play broadcaster for Time Warner Sports and Wisconsin On Demand, covering youth, high school and collegiate athletics. In addition to that, I cover UWM Panther sports as a webcast announcer and serve as the "voice" of a local semi-professional football league. I have even broadcast professional football for the arenafootball2 league's Green Bay Blizzard.
I am an avid sports fan. I enjoy playing and coaching football and baseball, and rooting for my favorite teams -- the Michigan Wolverines, the San Francisco 49ers and the Toronto Blue Jays.I am a 2005 graduate of Franklin High School and am striving to become a sports broadcaster upon graduation.
